While Formbird is a low-code, rapid application development platform, Formbird does not limit the professional software developer’s ability to add code to perform unique functions or to enrich the functionality or appearance of Formbird applications.
There is no practical limit to what can be accomplished by adding code to Formbird applications. Whether you want to enhance the appearance of a Formbird application, add custom components or modify existing components, Formbird makes it possible.
The following 3 events are executed on the “client”:
On form load: for showing / hiding, making data mandatory etc. on loading the form.
On field change: on changing data on the form, set field data, hide/show, make mandatory etc.
Presave Client: On pressing the save button, check that the data is complete and ready to save.
The following 2 events are executed on the “server”. Server events are also triggered via WebServices Calls:
Presave Server: The server side event for data validation.
Postsave Server: After the data is saved postsave processing allows for integration of data, creation of timed events, or automation of data creation.
Formbird also supports timed events for automation, for example, escalation eg. if this hasn’t been done at this time then do this, or repeating events eg. every Monday do this.
