The relative position of objects in relation to one another is extremely important. Geospatial information is used to locate assets in relation to streets, buildings, addresses and geological features.
Formbird has created a Formbird Component which can be added to and used by any Formbird application to display geospatial information.
Geospatial data is displayed in a window as a map. The map can have one or many layers with each layer representing an information type. Map layer data can come from any source that supports web services. Multiple data sources can be acquired to construct a complex image much like a geographic information system. Layers can be turned on and off by the Formbird application user to display more or less information as required.
Tool tips can be customized to allow users to drop pins, make annotations or add information to the map as needed. Zooming in and out of maps gives access to granular detail as well as providing perspective to the larger context to the location of the object of interest.
Formbird’s offline capability supports the mobile user who may loose their internet connection. Full map data sets are stored for the offline user to allow them to continue working despite having lost access to the Formbird server.
If your organization has interest in using geospatial information within an application, Formbird makes it possible.
